Senior Associate, Loan Servicing Operations - Team Lead

Capital One Commercial Core Operations is looking for an experienced candidate to support the growing Commercial Loan Servicing Operations Team. This Team Lead position supports Bi-Lateral and Participation loans within Corporate Banking, so solid product knowledge is a must. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success at working collaboratively with stakeholders, senior leaders and various partner teams. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical to success in this Leadership Role.

Primary Role Functions Include:

• Lead a team of Loan Servicers in a fast-paced environment, providing guidance, direction and support of the day to day process

• Manage and prioritize team workflow to include: approving high volume loan requests for disbursements, payments, exchange rate determinations, manual calculations, invoicing and liquidations

• Maintain relationships with various lines of business, agent banks and partner teams to include escalation, resolution and risk management

• Partner with respective business units and other internal teams to align needs and provide operational support

• Perform & drive team account management, cash breaks analysis and reconciliations within established SLA's

• Support comprehensive testing of system enhancements and process improvements

• Ability to review Credit Agreement documentation for compliance, interpretation and operational viability

• Proactively identify and address control gaps, streamlining operational processes and reducing risk exposure

• Monitor departmental reports and metrics, delivering team results within expected KPI's

• Build a performance-oriented culture through coaching, team building and career development

• Engage in conference calls with business partners, peers, senior leadership and direct team on a regular basis

• Foster a team oriented environment focused on associate engagement and teamwork

Work from Home Technology Requirements:

• A secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions

• A reliable private internet connection that is not supplied via cellular data or hotspot

  • A private network that is password protected where you have ownership or line of sight to every device on the network

  • Internet service must be provided by Cable or fiber Internet Service Provides (ISP)

  • Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria required for optimal agent/customer interactions

  • ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5Mbps, with 10 Mbps preferred

  • To validate ISP speeds from a Chrome browser, go to , type Speed Test and run from the Google landing page

• Both Hardwire and WiFI internet connections are acceptable as long as speed and security requirements are met

Work from Home Living Requirements:

• Candidates must live within approximately 50 miles of one of the hub locations based in 23238 or 75024 and be comfortable coming in person whenever required with no less than 24 hours notice.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

• At least 2 years of experience directly or indirectly leading a team

• At least 3 years of experience in Commercial Loan Servicing

• At least 5 years of experience in banking operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

• 2 years of systems and market platform experience in ACBS, Salesforce or Wall Street Office (WSO)

• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs)

• 4 years of Commercial Loan Servicing experience

• 6 years of experience in banking operations
