Job Posting for Partnership Coordinator at Capitol Area Council, BSA
FUNCTION:
In accordance with the Boy Scouts of America’s mission statement prospect, identify and network with organizations and business in the Capitol Area Council to identify those that would be interested in supporting a Scouting unit.
POSITION REPORTS TO:
Field Director
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
New Unit Sales
Identify and Research PotentialOrganizations and businesses interested in supporting a Scouting Unit.
Track and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
Build and nurture relationships with organizations and business.
Articulate the benefits of Scouting to potential organizations and business.
Overcome objections and obstacles with organizations and business.
Working with the Field Director collaborate with the District Executives (sales team) to move the unit along in the new unit development process
As with many positions in Scouting there is an opportunity for other tasks to be assigned depending on the time of year. This requires flexibility and a strong grasp of managing one’s time effectively.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to accept and meet the Boy Scouts of America’s leadership and membership standards and subscribe to the Scout Oath and Law.
Attained 21 years of age or older.
Ability to work varied hours when necessary, evening activities and weekend work may be required.
A Scouting background is helpful but not required for employment.
Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Maintain a valid driver’s license and automotive insurance. You’ll use your personal vehicle for council business, with mileage reimbursement.

Compensation:
Annual Salary of $40,000
