Job Description:


Position will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and control the operations of the Engineering, Maintenance and Grounds departments.

Complete all duties and functions of the hospital Safety Officer. Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory agency requirements. Manage staff and contractors to adequately to ensure and maintain the efficient and safe operation of all hospital buildings. Plan, predict, maintain, and repair building and

equipment. Utilize energy management and tracking tools to maintain efficient utility operations. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets.



Minimum Education:


Minimum of High School Diploma and degree or certification in a technical trade or field related to facility maintenance and engineering. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or comparable field strongly preferred.



Minimum Experience:


Minimum of five (5) years of previous acute care hospital engineering management experience. Experience or working knowledge in all aspects of building trades, including HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry.

Previous project management experience. Experience in a high-volume healthcare system strongly preferred.

Seasoned management skills required for multi-faceted Customer.

Currently certified as Certified Healthcare Facility Manager or obtains certification within one (1) year of hire.
