Duties
- Assists in delivery of patient care to accomplish wound care assessment, intervention, care planning and evaluation.
- Performs complete wound assessment and potential for wound/skin impairment.
- Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient’s clinical presentation/diagnosis and history.
- In collaboration with primary care physician, wound care physician and wound care team, initiates discharge planning related to wound /ostomy care issues for each patient upon admission, as appropriate.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSP), circumference, and volume.
- Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- One year Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care facility preferred.
- One year dealing with wounds, ostomies, etc.
- High School Diploma.
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse with current California RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke certification
- Wound care certification preferred
Salary : $82 - $86
