What are the responsibilities and job description for the Attendant Recruiter**FOLLOWING UNDER THE CMS VACCINATION MANDATE position at Caprock Home Health Services?
Recruits’ attendants for all PAS programs. Takes applications, screens, and performs criminal history checks. Initiates and assists with orientation. Maintains and provides list of available attendants to supervisors. Schedules attendants to meet Supervisor at client’s home. Follows up on attendant records to assure compliance with record keeping standards. Assists Field staff in covering service interruption by finding backup and special attendants as needed. May perform duties as backup attendant if necessary. May train attendants on specific skills or requirements as allowed by program guidelines. Performs all assigned tasks in compliance with agency’s policies, rules, or procedures. Follows all HIPAA Rules and Regulations with regard to patient privacy and confidentiality. Must be responsible to maintain confidentiality with regard to the client and client’s affairs. Position can be called upon to perform other duties as assigned. Job Skills and Abilities: Must be at least 18 years of age. Must qualify as a “Special Attendant” under DADS guidelines for same. Must have the ability to follow instructions; must be able to speak and understand the English language. Bilingual is a plus. Qualifications: Education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from High School or GED equivalent. Position prefers six months experience in direct client care in an institutional setting (hospital or nursing facility); delivery of personal care tasks in personal assistance services, family, or primary home care; or substitutions must be registered as a Nurse’s Aide on the Texas Department of Health Nurses Aide Registry; or completed the competency training evaluation program for home health aides. Prefer experience in the home health field.
