Schedule Available: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week; exempt position Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for the following:

  • Planning, implementing and evaluating of the education programs for clinical and non clinical staff.
  • General Orientation of new staff
  • Conducting CNA training class on an as needed basis

-All Aspects of employee health- including organizing and maintaining employee health files

  • Maintain an infection prevention and control program designed to provide a safe, sanitary and comfortable environment and to help prevent the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.
  • Establish facility wide systems for the prevention, identification, investigation and control of infections of residents, staff and visitors.
  • Conduction on going education/competencies for all employee.
  • Serving as the infection preventionist (course will be provided to you)

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an educator in a health care setting (preferred but not required)
  • Current NYS licensed registered nurse
  • CPR certified
  • Experience in DOH survey process (preferred but not required)
