What You’ll Do
We are seeking Controller to oversee financials company-wide. Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Controller will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as the company continues to enhance its quality offerings and undergoes rapid growth. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, participatory manager who will lead the Accounting Team and will have a successful track record in setting priorities; as well as excellent analytic, organization, and communication skills. As the Controller, you will be responsible for supervising the accounting department, which will include establishing and maintaining organizational structure and staffing as well as selecting, training, and mentoring of accounting staff, as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to Partner Group by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
  • Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
  • Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies.
  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements as well as the requirements of private contributions, loans, and government contracts.
  • Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and organizational budgets and actual expenditures.
  • In conjunction with the Partner Group, establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
  • Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who Are You?

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field (business administration, accounting, or finance)
  • 5 years senior leadership role in the appropriate field
  • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.
  • Experience using accounting, tax and project management software.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational process for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legislative guidelines.
  • Must inspire others and maintain a culture of transparency, integrity, and honesty in all aspects of your role.
  • Creative problem-solving and negotiating skills.
  • Proven ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
