Lead .NET Developer

Lead Full Stack Developer J-4282

Location: Wednesdays only onsite; Leawood, Kansas

Terms: 6-month contract to hire

Rates: $69-$72/hr.; $130-$135K conversion estimated; eligible for bonus

Please note: This role is 80% remote with one day per week onsite.

Capstone IT is helping our client to hire a Lead .NET Developer to join their team who is an industry leader in creating online learning management platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading onshore and offshore teams, be a creative problem solver, an owner of best practices and a mentor to junior engineers. Initially this role will be focused on 70% hands on backend development and needing a strong understanding of front-end architecture and UI, then will transition to becoming more leadership based as projects mature. A strong understanding of business and return on investment will be a plus to be considered a strong contender for this role.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Champion the evolution and functionality of the learning platform through cutting-edge technologies.
• Collaborate closely with a diverse ensemble of Platform Analysts, Scrum Masters, QA Analysts, and Product Owners to conceptualize and execute impactful projects.
• Conduct meticulous code reviews to uphold superior standards of software development.
• Provide comprehensive technical mentorship to junior Software Engineers, nurturing their growth and proficiency.
• Drive the enhancement and implementation of automation tools within a microservices architecture for seamless deployments.
• Continuously refine release processes, steering towards a Continuous Deployment/Continuous Integration paradigm.
• Offer technical expertise and troubleshooting support to address production issues promptly.
• Contribute to, and occasionally lead, the design and architecture of projects and features.
• Execute deployments across production and non-production environments, demonstrating readiness for on-call duties as part of a rotation schedule.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor s degree in a computer-related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of hands-on experience in software development for web-based applications.
• Extensive experience with the following: .NET, Angular 12 , C#, jQuery, MVC, WCF, SQL, HTML5, and CSS 3.0
• Experience with Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jira, IIS, .NET Framework
• Understanding of Agile-based development methodologies or similar formal frameworks.
