What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cost Accountant position at CapstoneONE Search?
We are representing an industry leading manufacturing organization who is actively seeking a Cost Accountant for their flagship manufacturing facility. This position will report to the Senior Controller and be responsible for leading close activities for the manufacturing facility in addition to other "cost based projects". This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
- Maintain the general ledger, create and process journal entries, and prepare reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Develop cost standards for labor and burden rates.
- Month-end close process including financial package preparation.
- Maintain various records, ad hoc reporting and analysis
- Analyzes financial data obtained through studies to determine effects of costs on business
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs
- Provides management with detailed reports for use in making business decisions and controlling expenditures.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2 years of strategic accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Prior cost accounting experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
