What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Technician position at Capsule Manufacturing?
The Position: The BIM Technician reports to the BIM Manager. The BIM Technician’s primary responsibilities are to create, modify and release BIM model/drawings according to company standards.
Responsibilities:
- Create code-compliant construction component based on specific project requirements (according to standards, fits, and stack-ups) with guidance from the Pre-Construction Services Managers and Project Managers
- Create/Update plan sets for city plan check submittal
- Create MEP, IFC, Shop Drawings
- Compare data between source documents (drawings, sketches, scanned images, specifications) and final drawings to detect errors or missing information
- Coordinate and follow up with Project Managers regarding any changes or unmet needs
- Implement quality control checklists on each project and submit work according to project deadlines
- Demonstrate to learn new digital design tools
Minimum Requirements
- Associate Degree or technical degree in related field.
- Motivated, self-started, attention to detail
- 2 to 3 years experience working in Revit
- Proficient in AutoCad
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in construction, Architecture or related field.
- 5 years experience working in Revit
- Advanced Revit Families creation (Parametric)
- Experience with multi-discipline CAD designs (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and/or Plumbing)
