Job Responsibilities
CAPTRUST is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join its in-house digital marketing team to support the firm’s social media strategy and email marketing campaigns for a rapidly growing and collaborative organization. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for supporting the firm’s growth efforts and the needs of its retirement plan, endowment and foundation, and wealth management clients. The Marketing Communications Specialist will work closely with all other members of the brand team. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:
Email Marketing (~60%):
- Produce and execute all email campaigns, including building emails from templates, copywriting, asset coordination, QA, list management, and scheduling
- Manage and execute email marketing calendar and ensure alignment with business priorities, demand forecasts, editorial strategy, and internal stakeholders
- Devise and execute A/B tests, manage testing calendar, record results, and advise on improvements (testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, customer cohorts and segments, send time, and new features intended to drive performance lift)
- Work with digital marketing team to align goals and objectives surrounding SEO, SEM, social media, web traffic, webinar registrations, survey participation, etc.
- Regularly identify trends and email marketing strategies from other leading global brands to glean insights on best practices and new innovative ideas for email marketing tactics
- Analyze the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy, identify strategic weaknesses, and make recommendations for improvements
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measure a campaign’s performance against those KPIs
- Regularly identify trends and email marketing strategies from other leading global brands to glean insights on best practices and new innovative ideas for email marketing tactics
- Constantly look for new ways to improve overall programs through new technology, tools, trends, and best practices.
Social Media (~40%):
- Use social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
- Work with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns
- Interact with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
- Analyze the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
- Research social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
- Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of B2B marketing communications experience (agency or in-house)
- Experience in business and technical writing, data analysis, market research, and project management
Desired Qualifications/Skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines
- Microsoft Office proficiency
- LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook management
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ClickDimensions email marketing experience a plus
- HTML a plus
- Background in finance is a plus
