Capture is looking for an experienced Developer to join their Product Development team. This fully remote position will focus on software development, research, and continual improvement. The Developer should embody a broad range of technical and communications capabilities including the design, implementation, and delivery of marketing analytics platform; research and recommendation of new technologies and platforms; analysis and actionable recommendations for improvement of the business’s KPIs; and technical consultation with other members of the Product Development team.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Developing, implementing, and refining software products using frameworks such as Laravel (PHP) and Vue.js, following standards and best practices used in all Capture development projects.
  • Following and recommending enhancements to development standards and quality assurance processes; ensuring achievement of service level agreements; and implementing and improving best practices related to the use of these tools.
  • Overseeing the design, delivery, and performance of Capture’s marketing analytics software and services.
  • Following agile principles to release stable and scalable products that meet the specified needs of the company.
  • Providing actionable, data-driven, and statistically backed suggestions for improvement to business processes, data collection, and data utilization.
  • Supporting released software with an emphasis on root cause analysis and permanent resolution.
  • Actively pursuing continuous improvement of software development skills, methodologies, and design patterns.
  • Actively identify recurring problems and propose methods to reduce or eliminate recurrence.

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related major), or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years in web development
  • Proficiency using PHP and the Laravel framework or a similar web application framework
  • Knowledge of Javascript, SQL, and Python are a plus
  • A solid understanding of web technologies
  • Strong statistical skills are a plus
  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
  • Excellent attention to details
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds

 

LOCATION

This is a fully remote position, with the option to work in the office if desired. While Capture is headquartered in Louisville and works primarily in ET, we have employees in all areas of the United States and know that to get the best talent pool we must expand our reach to cities outside of Louisville.
