Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conduct unit and system tests of either new or modified applications
- Write structured Test Plans from specifications conforming to established methodology and standards
- Work with Checkmate Programmers to ensure system testing is relevant and effective
- Receive Program Change Request from Checkmate Development Team
- Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office
- Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, external customers
- Attend team meetings
- Take initiative to learn and expand role
- Perform other tasks and have such other responsibilities as assigned by Car-Part from time to time
Education/Certifications: A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred
Essential Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Experienced with Standard Testing Methodologies
- Experience with SQL
- Must be proactive, anticipate needs & work independently.
- Experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Skilled at debugging software and identifying syntax, coding, and design errors
- Exposure to all phases of the software development process.
- Practiced software and testing documentation skills, including commenting code, and creating unit test plans
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Experience with Jira/Confluence
- Experience with Crystal Reports
- Experience with Delphi and Visual Basic
