Job Description


Carat is looking for a Manager, Local Investment. The primary responsibility of the Local Investment, Manager is a senior buying position whose responsibility is to negotiate cost efficient media schedules on behalf of the clients. Supported by the Associate, media buyer, the Manager, Local Investment coordinates all aspects of the buying process. This role will report to the Associate Director, Local Investment.

You will:

  • Negotiate cost efficient schedules on behalf of the clients, coordinate all aspects of the buying process, and seek creative solutions to enhance buy product
  • Work closely with vendors and maintain all purchase schedules
  • Generate Media Ocean and HudsonMX reports as required
  • Help Sr. Manager to advise clients on best ways to integrate media into their advertising and marketing programs
  • Work with Sr. Manager to develop and oversee junior staff, manage time, train, assure projects are completed on time and adhere to (within) client budget
  • Informs client/team of new opportunities or issues and keep up with latest media trends
  • Ensure key information is provided to team regarding client/vendor issues, market landscape changes, internal agency issues, changes in account status, etc.
  • Strategizes ways to use media dollars most effectively to the greatest benefit for our clients
  • May assist in the development of media presentations and tactical POVs as well as develop client reports that are clear, compelling, and persuasive
  • Move audience to desired action through clear and persuasive delivery of information

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of media buying experience
  • Media vendor negotiation experience
  • Working knowledge of Media Ocean & Hudson MX
  • Knowledge of media research terminology

The anticipated salary range for this position is $39,000 - $60,000 annually. Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
