Job Description


The VP, Director, Display leads high-level strategy, thought leadership and client communication for the largest line of business supporting one of our most notable clients, a global tech giant.

Reporting to the SVP that leads the line of business, the VP manages and leads a team of display and programmatic specialists and acts as the primary business owner in directing the efforts of this team to achieve client objectives. The VP drives the overall strategy and approach, identifies opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and works with senior management to manage resources effectively.

In this role, the VP will work across Global Awareness and Performance campaigns spanning the full funnel of varying size.

Global awareness campaigns require leadership of the US team through planning and activation in addition to stewarding plans with local activation teams in global markets. The VP is responsible for pushing global negotiations and driving efficiency while ensuring all local activations tie back to the overarching digital strategy.

This role is also in a unique position to also lead multiple Performance based campaigns driving trials and purchases. Performance media teams are centralized in the US and complete all phases of the planning and activation process for multiple global markets.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Contributes to operational and team strategy. Works to future proof our business by solving problems or identifying ways to grow our capabilities
  • Connects regularly with client to assess account health and to create strategic goals for improvement and growth
  • Viewed as a consultative leader- aligning dentsu partner strategies to client priorities
  • Develops growth plans for client roster growth through innovation, relationships building, product sell-in, etc.
  • Contribute on panels, fireside chats and other public speaking opportunities to represent dentsu as a leader in the digital and programmatic space at industry events
  • Ensure the team follows defined process for campaign management across display and programmatic channels, including excellent hands-on-keys activation work as needed
  • Effective team management and communication with a focus on leading, delegating and prioritizing team deliverables, fostering individual growth across team
  • Responsible for ensuring forward-thinking digital and programmatic strategy is proactively delivered to entire book of business

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10-12 years’ experience within the programmatic and digital industry
  • Experienced leader - with the ability to lead a highly successful team
  • Experience across all digital media channels and ability to eloquently speak to each
  • Consistent exceptional project management; ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Collaboration mindset
  • Ability to retain professionalism in all situations
  • Solutions orientated with strong critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills
  • Proficient in programmatic technology, platform, and partner solutions
  • Experience working with business applications; MS Office Suite required
