THE JOB AT A GLANCE
Carbon Health is looking for an excellent full time Primary Care Clinician Manager. You will join a growing community of healthcare providers and a multidisciplinary care team consisting of other healthcare professionals, medical assistants, and support staff to deliver compassionate, evidence-based primary or urgent care. You will build processes to drive consistent clinical and financial performance; lead your team through growth and change; recruit, onboard, and mentor clinicians. Working closely with team of other Clinician Managers, the Regional Medical Director, and Chief Medical Officer to review cases, you'll collaborate to identify educational opportunities, and implement evidence-based care pathways and patient experience best practices.
Oversight of 3 locations: Woodland Hills, CA; Simi Valley, CA; Sherman Oaks, CA
What You'll Do
- Manage a panel of patients towards evidence-based clinical quality targets
- Lead day-to-day operations with your team of medical assistants and support staff
- Work collaboratively with Central Support RN team to follow up on patient results
- Supervise and teach advanced practice clinicians
- Provide input and implement care programs, pathways, and new product enhancements
- Provide excellent preventive, proactive, compassionate, evidence-based primary care
- Conduct patient evaluations both in-clinic and virtually
- Partner with the Practice Manager to lead up to 3 clinics
- Interview, onboard, and mentor clinicians
- Identify clinical and patient experience educational opportunities for your team
- Respond to patient and staff complaints regarding clinicians
- Perform chart audits and one-to-one evaluations of clinicians on a monthly basis
- Manage payroll targets and complete incentive reports monthly
- Create and maintain clinician schedule for your sites
- Attend administrative meetings
- Participate in special projects related to clinical quality improvement and innovation
- Send out regular communications to staff with updates
- Implement new clinical and operational process and lead the team through change

About You
- California licensed physician and BC/BE MD/DO in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Primary care procedural skills including but not limited to skin biopsies, skin tag removal, wart treatment, joint injections, IUD insertion and removal
- Passion for relationship-driven, human-centered primary care
- Ability to connect and deliver care to patients of all backgrounds
- Commitment to lifelong learning of evidence-based medicine
- Ability to learn and use technology to manage the patient care
- Desire to provide input to build a new and exciting model for healthcare delivery
- Ability to promote a respectful, transparent, positive team environment
