Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Type: Full-time permanent

Department: Operations

Location: Southern Tier NY State

Role Overview:
Plays an important role in Carbon Upcycling’s operations; works in a dynamic materials laboratory environment; responsible for contributing to product manufacturing, research & development projects;; directly supports the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities
● Performs general and skilled labor tasks during fabrication, construction, and commissioning of

Carbon Upcycling’s mills
● Performs general and skilled labor tasks during the operations of the units, which may include loading and unloading testing mills and working with powder materials
● Cleaning, organizing, and tidying up during and after operations on a daily basis
● Ensures equipment is operating properly
● Manage shipping and receiving of raw and treated materials
● Takes appropriate actions to correct any issues on site
● Maintains productivity that meets/exceeds standards
● Leads and contributes to the team and the whole facility in a positive way
● Contributes to a safe work environment, while maintaining high operating standards

Qualifications
● Skilled laborer/Lab Technician with 3-5 years of experience
● Highly motivated and energetic
● Operational experience in industrial facility environments is preferred
● Trade experience in mechanics, and construction is preferred
● Experience in equipment operation and maintenance is strongly preferred
● Forklift training is an asset
● Welding ability is an asset
● First Aid trained or willing to obtain certification
● Able to maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment
● Excellent communication skills, able to speak and read English
● Able to perform all tasks at an active work site
● Able to stand and walk throughout the shift
● Punctual, reliable and responsible
● Participates and successfully passes formal orientation training
● Basic computer skills including Excel and Word is an asset
● Language: English
