The Director of Supply Chain Architecture drives value to Cardinal Health through their leadership experience, broad supply chain knowledge, thought leadership, and ability to establish and execute a strategy. This role covers end to end supply chain architecture with the primary goal of strategically building efficiency, resiliency, and scalability into our supply chain with a focus on continuous improvement by architecting innovative solutions to provide better service to our customers and suppliers. Along with digitizing supply chain this role is also responsible for exploring new technologies and industry trends and partnering with the business and various solution teams to experiment and drive innovative solutions.

Accountabilities
Develop and maintain Supply Chain capability model by translating business priorities into key supply chain capabilities
Develop a roadmap to build prioritized supply chain capabilities across Planning, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management and Labor Management
Design and architect supply chain solutions that support business goals and needs by leveraging existing investments in SAP and Manhattan and recommend relevant technology innovations as appropriate
Syndicate engineering expertise, design thinking and innovation to design next generation large scale supply chain solutions
Create prototypes for innovative solutions in emerging technologies like Robotics, Blockchain, IoT, Digital Twins and ML
Leverage deep supply chain functional and technical skills to serve as a conduit between business processes and technology
Manages a team of high-impact supply chain architects to develop and maintain technology strategy, vision, architectural roadmaps, reference architectures and engineering implementations
Partner with business leads and IT solution teams to create and maintain supply chain architecture principles, standards, guidelines, and decision trees around supply chain architecture
Provide leadership, guidance, consulting to the implementation team to build futuristic supply chain platforms
Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on next generation supply chain capabilities by shaping emerging technologies
Ensure enterprise standards are established and followed while providing consulting on initiatives across multiple projects
Explore new technologies and industry trends and partner with the business to experiment and drive innovation
Create and maintain training and educational materials and technical position papers for solution delivery teams
Support business case development
Active member of Architecture Review Board
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in supply chain, engineering, computer science, or a related field
Extensive hands-on experience in designing supply chain solutions using SAP or Manhattan
Deep knowledge of core supply chain capabilities including Planning, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management and Labor Management
Experience in Supply Chain automation including Robotics, IoT, Goods to Person Picking systems, other touchless supply chain solutions
Experience defining supply chain technology strategy
Experience with 3PL distribution model is a plus
Proven experience with sophisticated large-scale implementations
Proven experience in establishing mission, vision, and strategies
Experience with technology risk and debt management
Experience in Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus
Experience in creating development plans, coaching, and managing a diverse team of architects
Experience with problem cause identification (Fishbone, Root Cause Analysis, Interrelationship Diagram, 5 Whys…)
Experience with problem solving techniques (Brainstorming, Mind Mapping, Appreciative Inquiry, Lateral Thinking)
