What Quality Assurance contributes to Cardinal Health
- Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications. Quality Assurance develops and implements a compliant and cost effective quality system that assures products and services are reliable, safe and effective. This job family provides oversight of production/manufacturing activities, training to operational and quality control personnel, and educates business leaders on Quality policies and procedures and ensures that all products and services are properly reviewed for quality and documented.
- This role will support Global Manufacturing & Global Supply Chain in the Medical Segment.

Schedule: 40 hours per week. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday, 3 days onsite and 2 days work from home with flexible scheduling surrounding 8am - 5pm.
Accountabilities
- Performs all tasks in a manner which complies with applicable local, state, and federal laws and with the company’s environmental health and safety standards and programs as well as its commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Participates in the processing of Change Order (GCO’s): formatting, obtaining approvals, and issuing in a controlled manner
- Edits changes to Standards Practice Instructions (SPI’s), Raw Material Purchase Specifications (RMPS’s), and Formula Sheets (FS) as well as initiate new documents utilizing standard formats
- Controls documents and sets effectively through the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Submit for approvals through electronic means for signatures
- Implements and maintains procedures/forms in the Controlled Legacy Document System, routes for approvals for written signatures
- Issue documents in a controlled manner
- Participates in audits of the documentation system on a quarterly basis to identify any documents that need to be written, revised or obsolete
- Write and guide CDP’s through the system
- Provides support for product and process changes
- Issues new product code part numbers
- Prepares shop orders and routes to production floor
- Participates on select continuous improvement teams to drive factory improvements
- Internal auditing

Qualifications
- 0 – 2 years related experience, preferred
- BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field, preferred
- Experience in document control and production documentation, preferred (at least 1 year)
- Works with high sense of urgency to drive time sensitive tasks
- Strong organization, attention to detail and accuracy skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skills with MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Experience using BPCS or a similar MRP or ERP system required, and Agile experience strongly preferred
