What Inventory Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Inventory Management is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning and customer forecasting systems, supply planning, product deployment and expediting processes and the development and implementation of a stocking optimization model to minimize costs and inventory while delivering on service requirements.
Accountabilities
Plans, manages and coordinates fleet and freight activity within the Nuclear & Precision Health Solutions business. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Oversight of equipment, fuel programs, repairs, and maintenance on fleet vehicles.
- Handling vendor relationships.
- Handling record keeping activities to ensure compliance of fleet and freight activity.
- Acting as liaison to the field locations to remedy operational challenges/needs.
- Providing oversight, vendor management and record keeping for our 3rd party freight service providers.
- Plays a role in managing innovative logistics applications for driver optimization. Handles all issues/concerns related to devices and software.
- Other duties as assigned.
Ideal candidate is detail-oriented and able to convey honest messages to the field and leadership in a fact based but friendly manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1-5 years of experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Supervisory/management experience
- Flexible to resolve customer needs based on business hours
- Up to 10% travel
- Experience with Element Fleet Management a plus
