Pallet Inspector - Smetco
The Pallet Inspector is responsible for inspecting and separating CHEP pallets into different grades and placing them on the Smetco line ready to be picked up by the forklift in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity, in addition to adhering to CHEP's quality criteria. Performs other duties as assigned.
Pallet Inspection/Smetco Operatoro Safely and securely inspect pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards.o Manually lift 70 lbs. pallets from a stack to a conveyor; in addition lift the pallets for inspection and separation utilizing the Smetco machine.o Ensure that proper inspection and separation is met.o Conduct physical inventories as required.
Safety and Securityo Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.o Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.o Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.o Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.o Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets.
