As the non-profit leader in advanced illness care, we offer services in more than 90 communities in Eastern Massachusetts.Job DescriptionHOURS: Monday-Friday; 8AM-4:30PM, 40 hours/full time, 20 hours are clinical and 20 hours are administrative.Summary:As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Bereavement Coordinator works under the supervision of the Manager of Bereavement Services and is responsible for day to day oversight and provision of bereavement services at the organization’s branch office, assisting in the planning and providing of bereavement services, outreach and education and related services to families served by Care Dimensions.QualificationsQualifications:MA/ MSW degree from an accredited/recognized school of social work, expressive therapy, or related field. LICSW, LCSW or LMHC required or, if in progress, will be obtained within one year.Minimum of three years’ experience in the field of grief counseling preferred.Strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.Experience and education in leading support groups.Demonstrated understanding of hospice philosophy and principles.Demonstrated understanding of the principles of grief and loss and the skills needed to assist the bereaved in the healing process.Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation, ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team, and ability to demonstrate appropriate independent judgment.Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and in good working order.Ability to work evenings on a regular basis and occasional weekends.Additional InformationCare Dimensions has been selected by Modern Healthcare as one of the 2018 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
