Responsible for disassembling, cleaning, and decontamination, of .instrumentation both in the Operating Room and the Central Processing area.
Decontaminate, clean, inspect, process and assemble surgical instrumentation for the Operating Room, Central Processing area and durable patient care equipment. Understand, be responsible and operate prevacuum steam sterilizers, gas plasma sterilizer, washer sterilizers and decontaminators.
Testing sterilizers and maintaining accurate records. Possess an understanding of cleaning protocols for particular instruments. Familiar with cleaning agents and detergents and use appropriately.
