Job Summary
Care United Home Care Agency LLC is looking for competent Caregivers to care for our clients in a professional and compassionate manner in Fishers and Noblesville, IN. This is a very satisfying and rewarding, assisting people who are ill, injured, disable or elderly. A The ideal candidate will be patient and friendly with excellent communication skills. The candidate should be able to accommodate the client needs. You should be able to follow instructions and perform a variety of tasks to help clients. Please note that this position can be worked as a 1099 independent contractor or as a employee.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting with personal care: bathing and grooming, dressing, toileting, and exercise
- Basic food preparation: preparing meals, shopping, housekeeping, laundry, and other errands
- General health care: overseeing medication and prescriptions usage, appointment reminders and administering medicine
- Mobility assistance: help with getting in and out of a wheelchair, car or shower
- Personal supervision: providing constant companionship and general supervision
- Transportation: driving to and from activities, running errands, and help to get in and out of wheelchair-accessible vehicle
- Emotional support: being a stable companion and supporter in all matters personal, health-related and emotional
- Care for the elderly: orienting or grounding someone with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, relaying information from a doctor to family members
- Backup care (or respite) services: providing other caregivers a break
- Home organization: help with organizing, packing or cleaning for a trip, or general house care and cleaning.
- Health monitoring: following a care plan and noticing any changes in the individuals health, recording and reporting any differences.
- Help clients with their pets (optional)
Qualifications and Skills
- Desire to be a caregiver (no experience necessary)
- Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR) (optional)
- Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
- Respectful and compassionate
- Good time management skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethics
- Physical endurance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid drivers license with car insurance
- Doesn't mind taking care of pets (optional)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
