Job Duties:
- Process VA billing on a weekly basis
- Private client billing on a bi-weekly basis
- Download and create payment reports
- Managing receiving aging to prevent losses
- Resolve rejected, denied, and zero paid claims
- Work with VA Team to resolve issues with authorizations from VA
- Work with Client Services Team regarding Private Client issues
- Ensure claims are submitted within timely filing deadlines
- Assist in identification, development, and implementation of QAPI initiatives
- Perform random client and caregiver file audits
- Ensure access to all necessary platforms to manage Medicare clients, billing, and reporting.
- Expected to be compliant with Medicare billing timelines (NOA, one claim submissions, corrections, etc.)
- Assist with managing performance of CareAparent's value-based care as mandated by HHVBP
- Responsible for all claims billing, reporting, and remittances
- Must ensure the highest quality of data integrity by ensuring accurate billing and claims submissions
- Investigate denied claims and solve recurring issues causing denied claims
- Maintain strong relationship with payer counterparts to improve billing processes, create efficiencies and be knowledgeable in payer process changes
- Utilize Medicare DDE system to manually enter claims, make corrections, or submit reporting to the MAC
- Ensures OASIS export and reporting is complete and filed with IQIES
- Lead and manage the submission of CareAparent's annual Medicare cost report
- Manage regular A/P and A/R accounting functions related to, but not limited to, general ledger entry, account reconciliation and account reporting
- Assist with answering incoming calls and directing to appropriate departments, fielding private client calls regarding billing issues
- Other necessary functions as determined by manager
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, or equivalent experience
- experience with working with VA and/or Medicare preferred
- advanced bookkeeping and accounting skills
- advanced knowledge of Medicare billing practices, including experience with DDE, claim corrections, Medicare Cost reporting
- knowledge of payer contracts, provider requirements, fee schedules, authorizations, and claims processing
