Job Title: HistotechnologistJob Summary:We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our laboratory team. The Histotechnologist will be responsible for preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist. This individual will play a crucial role in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.Responsibilities and Duties:1. Embed tissue samples in paraffin blocks for slicing2. Cut thin sections of tissue samples using a microtome3. Stain tissue samples with various dyes to enhance visualization4. Perform special stains and immunohistochemical tests as needed5. Mount stained tissue samples onto glass slides for examination6. Maintain accurate records of all procedures performed7. Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulationsQualifications and Skills:1. Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field2. Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred3. Prior experience working in a histology laboratory4. Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity5. Excellent organizational and time management skills6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team7.
