Quality Assurance Analyst

We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Analyst.   

Responsibilities and Duties: 

Conduct Application Software Testing within the Information Technology Branch testing and staging environments with the goal of testing and validating the Application software can perform without defect in the Application Production Environment.  Testing activities may include but are not limited to: 

• Generate test plan, test case specifications, software test reports, and Section 508 test reports to ensure system and protect quality and that the system developed meets the defined business requirements without defects. 

• Review, document (using JIRA or similar tool) resolve bugs, issues, and defects as approved by the end user and Federal IT PM.   

• Test the software design against the Requirements Traceability Matrix. 

For Each Release, the following will be Required: 

Unit Testing- Develop and execute test plans that ensure that software is operating as per system requirements 

System Testing- Develop and execute test plans the ensure the system is operating as per system requirements. 

Performance Testing- Design and test the system to ensure that it operates per performance requirements developed during the requirements analysis phase.  This includes setting up an environment and implementing test scripts that test the system load and performance capabilities.  To the extent possible, automated testing shall be required. 

Integration Testing- Conduct and perform integration testing to test the appropriate interface points between Applications. To the extent possible, automated testing shall be required. 

Section 508 Testing - Conduct testing of Section 508 compliance. Correct any related deficiencies. Upon completion of testing, a Section 508 product compliance determination and test report shall be submitted to the IT PM. If no resolution can be implemented for any deficiencies, implement a remediation plan to correct found deficiencies. 

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - Support the Government during UAT by providing technical assistance to track and resolve issues detected during UAT. 

Regression Testing- Conduct and perform regression testing to test that a code change in the Application due to bug/defect fixing or addition of new functionality does not impact the existing Application functionality. 

Automation Testing - Conduct Integrated Automation Testing using UFT and ALM 

Additional Responsibilities: 

• Review and analyze implementation plan for software releases, infrastructure upgrades and enhancement capabilities and provide recommendations to the Government.  

• Plans and documentation and provide recommendations to the Government.   

• Provide validation and verification of software contract deliverables.   

• Review of Stage Gate deliverables, and provide recommendations to the Government.  Performance testing and analysis and documentation of results.  

• Perform ongoing review and modification of SDLC standards and best practices.   

• Provide technical interpretation of system requirements and review and provide recommendations on deliverables.   

• Conduct assessments on items identified as security risks and provide recommendations.  Develop and/or recommend improvements to internal procedures and processes that could improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of ITB software projects.  

• Review SDLC deliverables and provide comments/ recommendations as appropriate.   

• Update of program/project document repository.   

• Update of program/project intranet/internet sites.   

• Perform complex analysis and reporting, utilizing data within and external to the program repository to support business planning activities.   

• Assist with the development of business case documents by providing feasibility and high- level business requirements analyses for existing systems or new requests and development cost estimates.
