This job requires military service with a contract for enlistment or commission. This is not an application to a specific position within the military. This job is only an example of a position that you could be placed in after taking a job placement exam.

Enlistment entails that you speak to a recruiter, take a job placement exam, complete a physical exam, choose from the career options that are presented to you, sign a career contract, and take the oath of enlistment, and attend training camp.

Special Forces Candidate (18X)

Overview

As a Special Forces Candidate, you’ll be training to become a Green Beret, one of the most highly skilled Soldiers in the world. To join the Army elite, you must complete extensive mental and physical training. There are four entry-level Special Forces Military Occupational
Specialties, and your specialty will be decided based on your background, aptitude, and the needs of the Army.

Active (Full Time): As a part of a team of soldiers, you secure your future with a career in the Active Duty Army (full-time), pay for college, guaranteed healthcare with family benefits.
You gain leadership skills, college credit, and job-security. This is an entry level position with no experience necessary. or

Reserve (Part Time: 1 weekend a month): As a part of a local team of soldiers, you secure your future with a career in the Army Reserve, pay for college, and access to low-cost healthcare with family benefits. Stay in your local area. You gain leadership skills, college credit, and home-town stability. This is an entry level position with no experience necessary.
