Location: This role will split their time between our Rutherford, New Jersey office (2 days) and working remotely (3 days).
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000 Base Salary

My Client is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Collections Coordinator to join the finance team.
You will play a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the accounts receivable department.
This role will split their time between our Rutherford, New Jersey office (2 days) and working remotely (3 days). Flexibility is provided.

Must Haves:
- 3-5 years' proven experience as a collection specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of billing procedures, cash application, and collection techniques
- We are looking for someone with heavy collections experience, ideally in a media/corporate setting vs a collection agency.
- NetSuite or ERP experience is a strong plus.
- We need someone polished, professional, and detail-oriented. Motivated to collect and collaborate with various internal reps and customers.

What You'll Do:
- Daily review and monitoring of aging reports to identify invoices that are approaching average collection periods while managing 200-400 accounts
- Contact customers verbally and via email according to collection policies
- Resolve unpaid balances, advising customers of necessary action steps and useful strategies for repayment, or work with internal teams to correct invoices
- Apply for invoices, payments, and customer credits accurately
- Review the terms of sales, service, and/or credit contracts with customers as well as investigate historical data for each account
- Expedites the resolution of unpaid customer accounts to maximize impact on cash and reduce receivables balances
- Update account status records and collection efforts in our ERP system
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status and recommend escalation options as needed
- Support cross-functional projects and teams
What You Have:
- 3-5 years' proven experience as a collection specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of billing procedures, cash application, and collection techniques
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent work experience
- Media/Travel Industry experience is a strong plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency, patience and persistence
- Ability to multitask and shift priorities as necessary
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- NetSuite or ERP experience is a strong plus
- Being bilingual is a plus
