WEC Business Services LLC, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an IT Applications Architecture Manager in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site).
Job Summary
The Applications Architecture Manager-ERP Applications is responsible for overseeing the configuration, development, implementation and support of the ERP and ERP-related applications delivering capabilities and services to all of our Utilities.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a large IT team including team leaders, developers, analysts and contractors.
- Understand the fundamental business operations of Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, Accounts Payable, Procurement and Supply Chain.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of all applications at a level appropriate with the business need and agreed upon service levels.
- Manage the business relationship including request response, issue management, needs assessment, prioritization and service level setting.
- Develop a vision of and roadmap to achieve an applications architecture supporting future business needs.
- Work with business clients to define technology projects supporting key business outcomes.
- Maintain a working knowledge of major business processes.
- Make technical recommendations to improve business processes.
- Anticipate organizational and business impacts on applications and technology architecture, collaborate with others to address.
- Recognize IT/technical opportunities in the industry and bring them to the attention of business clients in order to improve business outcomes.
- Ensure that IT initiatives are in alignment with the strategic direction of the business.
- Manage the relationship with external service providers.
- Provide feedback and coaching to employees.
- Develop strategies, goals and plans for work group and ensures alignment with department, customer and company goals.
- Lead and provide work direction for team leaders and individual contributors so that they can achieve goals.
- Develop a staff that takes ownership for resolving problems and embraces root cause analysis and quick problem resolution.
- Ensure that appropriate measures are in place to determine work group productivity and help in continuous improvement initiatives within the work group.
- Monitor performance of employees including: reviewing response times, problem resolution, quality and quantity of work.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related degree
- 5 years of system development and implementation experience
- Demonstrated Leadership skills
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of business strategy and process
- Familiarity with SAP ERP
