What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Manager position at Career Fronts?
To support Client’s growth strategy significant investments need to be made to strengthen the basic infrastructure of the company (processes, systems, equipment, and people). The Plant Maintenance and Engineering Manager role is a critical role in the company and will report directly to the Plant Manager. The role is involved in helping the facility run effectively from maintenance leadership, adherence, and improvement to PM program, managing the maintenance team, and leading plant engineers on projects to support growth and drive reliability and cost improvement through the operation.
Position Overview
This position will long term include key responsibilities such as:
- Support operational needs through proper management of personnel and resources to keep equipment in peak operational condition, while having as limited and impact as possible on production uptime.
- Ensure Preventative Maintenance schedule is being adhered to and lead efforts to continuously improve program to have a best-in-class Predictive Maintenance prgoram
- Support project management execution through planning, scheduling, and execution of Maintenance department requirements towards project completion.
- Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
- Spend time on production floor in hands on root cause analysis of manufacturing equipment designing and implementing ways to improve equipment up time.
- Assists technicians in troubleshooting equipment downtime events
- Improves manufacturing efficiency by utilizing lean manufacturing principles (Continuous Improvement); analyzing and equipment, process, and people.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
- Lead projects as assigned by management to include; continuous improvement projects, commission projects or equipment that are in line with existing knowledge within the plant, and helping take part on Innovation project teams as applicable
- Supports commissioning of innovation projects through training and guiding technicians.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Strong ability to multi-task by executing and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering Field
- CAD, Proficiency in SolidWorks strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of maintenance leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Preferred 3-5 years of relevant experience leading engineering capital projects
- Lean or Six Sigma certifications preferred
- Lean Training and/or Six Sigma experience/certifications highly desired
- Experienced at managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Project Management certifications desired; Project Management experience required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
