The Sr Analyst/End User Technology Support (EUTS) is a technical individual who possess expertise involving the use and repair of a wide variety of “computer equipment.” The term “computer equipment” could include (but should not be limited to): servers, workstations, field computers, peripherals, handheld devices, software, operating systems, and programming. This position should possess deep knowledge in one or more areas. This position assists with activities that help ensure the effective support of end users and the technology infrastructure. This position should be able to effectively communicate in both a technical and non-technical manner with employees from all levels and departments. This position is responsible for managing work assignments with minimal supervision while adhering to departmental change control and problem reporting procedures.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires four to six years of relevant work experience and possession of technical certification(s) (e.g. CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, HDI Certificates, etc.) is preferred.


A degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

CORE JOB: Analyze, troubleshoot, determine root cause and solve computer problems and document the solutions
WORK PRACTICE: Assist with activities that help ensure the effective support of end users and the technology infrastructure
WORK PRACTICE: Assist in activities that enhance the organization and productivity of the department’s employees
WORK PRACTICE: Effectively communicate in both a technical and non-technical manner with employees from all levels and departments
WORK PRACTICE: Manage multiple work assignments with minimal supervision
WORK PRACTICE: Adhere to departmental change control and problem reporting procedures
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Function as an internal expert in one or more areas of expertise for the rest of the department
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Possess expertise involving the use and repair of a wide variety of “computer equipment”

JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide work direction to less experienced members of the EUTS team
  • Install new and upgrade existing computer equipment
  • Perform needs assessments of user requests for computer equipment or software
  • Act as an internal consultant on technical issues for other employees/departments upon request
  • Participate in Information Services or EUTS technical projects upon request
  • Act as lead during EUTS technical projects and initiatives upon request
  • Develop and maintain EUTS procedures
  • Coordinate and conduct EUTS meetings upon request
  • Represent the EUTS Department at meetings
  • Assist in coordinating EUTS staff schedules
  • Understand how each system is processed so problems can be prioritized and escalated properly
  • Be familiar with mainframe, mid-range, PC and telecommunications operations
  • Interpret a wide variety of symptoms and identify the true problem
  • Assist telecommunication and Company vendors to repair communication problems
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

SALARY DETAILS

$33.25- $43.78
