Hours : 7a-3 : 30pm Mon-Fri
Dress code : Steel toed boots, jeans, t-shirt, no jewelry, nothing offensive
Job Description : This position is hired by and reports directly to the "Detailing Manager" and "General Manager."
Tasks, Abilities and Skills :
- Write detailed RFIs for any needed / missing information on design drawings and maintain a log for tracking.
- Generate 2D shop fabrication drawings & erection plans.
- Prepare drawing and model submittals for approval, fabrication & field use.
- Read specifications, design drawings, and connection design packages to determine the locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
- Communicate and coordinate the steel package with other trade contractors via the BIM process and work through clash detection.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in steel fabrication & erection.
- Ability to understand and apply varying levels of mathematics & geometry as applicable to the position.
- Perform detailed record keeping & reporting.
- Ability to work on multiple projects at any given time.
- Strong organizational skills & the ability to handle multiple priorities at once.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Tools and Technology Requirements :
- Tekla Structures experience preferred. SDS / 2 experience will be considered DOE.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam Revu.
Knowledge of Tekla EPM / Powerfab is not required but a plus.
