We are currently in search of a Grants Writer & Manager for a Social Services Organization. This is a Full-Time, Hybrid, Temporary position located in New York, NY.

The Grants Writer & Manager is a temporary position that will aid in meeting the department’s annual goals of foundation and corporate giving, which in FY23 was $1.875 million. This responsibility includes finding new sources of funding; renewing current sources when possible; drafting letters of inquiry (LOIs), proposals, reports, budgets, and other donor-specific documents; coordinating internal responses to RFPs; organizing external meetings with key stakeholders as needed; ensuring that donor records are kept accurately and up-to-date; managing multiple, complex grant submissions and multi-year budgets, and adhering to precise reporting requirements. This position is supported by a grants manager.
Typical Day Would Include:
· Prepare and supervise development of LOIs, proposals, grant reports, budgets, and other correspondence for foundations and corporations.
· Help Development VP cultivate and maintain relationships through strategic connections with new and current foundation and corporate funders through meetings, briefings, events, workshops, and conferences.
· Help Grants Manager articulate and maintain annual plan and grants calendar or foundation and corporate giving in consult with senior executives and board of trustees to increase institutional support.
· Help drive foundation prospect research, prep notes for meetings with funders, deadlines, and data base records.
· Assist in maintaining the accurate grant records, update the grants calendar, and organize grant proposal files so they are easily accessible.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· Bachelors Degree Preferred
· 3 year of Grant Writing and Grant Management
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
· Experience cultivating, soliciting and stewarding foundation officers
· Ability to meet deadlines
