About the Role
If you enjoy working remotely to develop, analyze, monitor, and optimize database objects in support of business applications, then come grow with us. As the SQL Developer you will have experience developing and managing Oracle databases as well as creating complex queries and stored procedures. The SQL Developer works closely with internal and external assets including application developers, analysts, executives, and technical staff. This position will be performed remotely and will report to the VP, Information Technology based from our Home Office, in Azusa, California.
What You’ll Do
- You’ll design, develop, and maintain on-prem and cloud-hosted databases using Oracle SQL.
- You’ll create complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, and views.
- You’ll monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
- You’ll develop and maintain database security measures to protect data integrity.
- You’ll work with other developers to ensure data consistency across applications.
- You’ll provide support for functions including upgrades, ETL/ELT, problem investigation, development, testing, and deployment in Production, Development and Test environments.
- On occasion, you’ll develop shell scripts to automate, integrate or enhance business processes.
- You’ll review requests for new and enhanced programs, determine feasibility and requirements, and make recommendations for most efficient approach or alternative options or revisions.
- You’ll research new technologies related to database development and recommend solutions.
- You’ll provide technical support for database users when needed.
Who You Are
- You hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree In Computer Science or related field; or a balanced mix of secondary education, certifications, and experience.
- You have at least 5 years of progressive Oracle SQL Development experience.
- You are proficient in writing and debugging complex queries and stored procedures using PL/SQL.
- You have knowledge of database design principles and best practices.
- You have the required Oracle Certified Database Developer certification. Additionally, Oracle Certified Application Developer certification highly desired.
- You have familiarity with Oracle Linux, Oracle Fusion applications and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- You have familiarity with Apache Airflow, SSH, Shell Scripting, and Version Control Systems.
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills and can clearly present ideas.
- You possess excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to form creative solutions.
- You have a proven ability to collaborate effectively with business users, technical staff, and executives.
- You are motivated, enthusiastic and possess a positive outlook in achieving your goals.
- You possess the ability to multi-task, juggling several projects at the same time.
- Your bilingual ability in English / Spanish is a plus.
- You are authorized to work in the United States, and you are located in the U.S. in an Eastern, Central, Mountain or Pacific Time zone.
- You can occasionally stand; walk; sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
