The Royal Group currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Weekend Shift Forklift Operator in Seymour, IN. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for all activities associated with safely operating and caring for the forklift including operation, cleanup and recommendation of improvements.Weekend Shift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) – Work 36 hours, get paid for 40! 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. At The Royal Group, we are committed to our employees. Preferred that employees have prior work experience in corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience. Required to maintain a current Forklift Operator License. An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team. The ability to function as a mature, professional individual, who interacts positively with teammates. The willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any task required for the success of the team. Detail-oriented, organized and dependable with time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer competence and working knowledge of equipment. Essential Job Functions for this Position:Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner; must be qualified to properly operate the forklift Assist in training on the operations of forklifts with supervisor and new hires Regular and predictable attendance Maintain neat, orderly and safe stacks of stock in storage areas and when loading trailers Assist other forklift operators as necessary Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs; be proactive in the maintenance of equipment Stretch wrap units, palletize and use corner protectors as required Adhere to daily production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery and service goals Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping Unload trailers as needed while checking product’s quality and quantity Keep warehouse organized and clean Sweep out and maintain cleanliness of trailers; report any issues to supervisor Use Top Gun program to load/unload trucks, bill loads and keep inventory Make regular cycle counts on stock and actively participate in all inventories Ability to work overtime as the job requires Perform machine cleanup daily, weekly and monthly To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
