What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Worker-Drug Court position at Careers?
Position Purpose:
The Outreach Worker for the Drug Court Team provides transportation and case management services for Champaign County residents sentenced to Drug Court for Substance Use Disorder Treatment. The Outreach Worker also participates in a multidisciplinary Drug Court team meeting and drug court weekly. The Outreach Worker is a vital part of the comprehensive Drug Court team approach. Must have a valid drivers license and insurance and ability to drive agency vans to transport clients. The Outreach worker also helps with recording and tracking data for the Drug Court Program for documentation and grant reporting. Must be organized, able to meet deadlines, and pay attention to detail. Experience with Excel spreadsheets a plus. Occasionally, the Outreach Worker will also help prepare weekly drug court reports on clients to be presented to the court for review. The Outreach Worker will also administer toxicology tests on clients including urines screens and breathalyzers. Ability to be a team player, take direction, and great follow through skills are important to ensure the needs of clients are met so they are able to successfully complete the program.
