Pinnacle Corrugated, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Purchasing Clerk in Landis, NC. The Purchasing Clerk will assist the Purchasing Coordinator with the purchasing functions for the maintenance operations in accordance with established company standards. Responsible for maintaining records keeping of parts and supplies, inventory of fixed assets, parts and supplies used in the process of manufacturing corrugated sheets.
Contacts vendors in the event that repairs are required on equipment under service contracts.

Essential Job Functions:
Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
Place orders for purchase of materials and supplies in a timely manner using MP2 maintenance software.
Generate and install tags on all parts. Place parts in their designated locations using assistance from others and/or forklift if needed.
Complete purchase orders with all related documents for accounting.
Perform cycle counts on parts to ensure parts inventory is correct.
Contact vendors holding service contracts to schedule repairs.
Perform weekly inventory of production supply cabinets and replenish items that have been used.
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with all levels of the company including corporate, management, co-workers, and vendors.
Regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to calculate mathematical figures such as discounts, interest, percentages and net value.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
Generate month end parts inventory reports for accounting in absence of Purchasing Coordinator.
Drive to pick up parts if needed.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; Two years of experience in purchasing and/or maintenance, or a combination of education and experience.
Forklift/Clamp truck operator license.
Motor vehicle operator’s license.
Preferred Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; Two years of experience in purchasing and/or maintenance, or a combination of education and experience.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to use a computer.
Must have clear, concise oral and written communication skills.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts; write routine reports and correspondence; communicate effectively with all levels of the company from Management to Customers.
