Job Purpose:
The Senior Financial Analyst position will be responsible for preparing the weekly revenue forecast, managing, and updating various cubes for metrics reporting, conducting revenue and margin site investigations to determine changes relative to prior periods or budget.
Essential Duties:
Revenue Forecast:
- Prepare the weekly revenue forecast in accordance with how revenue is booked. Mine revenue data from billing and accounting systems using TM1 and other applications to aggregate results in same format as other financial reports.
Site P&L Contract Review:
- Conduct site investigations pertaining to changes in revenue or margin, including field service headcount, field service ticket costs, commission, etc. These investigations require analyst to mine data from multiple systems to determine cause of revenue/margin change.
Monthly Revenue Bridges:
- Complete monthly revenue bridges by tracking changes in revenue relative to prior month and to budget. Incorporate elements associated with wins and losses, seasonality, rate changes, and other factors to explain change in revenue.
Revenue By Customer Report for Auditors & Other Quarterly reports:
- Prepare the report for auditors. This task consists of compiling and combining revenue from multiple systems to provide a comprehensive list of our top customers/contracts.
- Prepare quarterly bad debt report and free call report for accounting group.
Budget Responsibilities for Various Organizations:
- Field Service, Customer Care, Guarded Exchange.
- Create salary templates for each department.
- Build SG&A templates and work with business owners to populate them correctly.
- Upload and consolidate budgets for each organization.
Monthly OPEX Reporting:
- Provide Budget vs. Actual reporting to each organization.
- Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
Manage Revenue by Customer Cubes:
- Import data from BI group to create cubes with revenue by customer in order automate TM1 driven reports used by the Finance team.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Self-motivated to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Solid accounting/finance background; ability to read journal entries and financial statements to find key information for variance analysis
- Proficient in using Great Plains, and other data retrieval applications
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10 years of experience in budgeting, reporting, and analysis
- Advanced Excel skills – experience using v-lookups and pivot tables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment
