As a division of Carefree of Colorado, Sol-Lux leverages over 50 years of awning design and manufacturing expertise serving the RV industry. Sol-Lux products combine innovative control and automation technology with premium system construction to serve the North American residential market better than anyone else.


Role Overview:


Responsible for developing and implementing a cogent sales, marketing, and product plan targeting exterior shading in the residential market. This effort includes aspects of product management, business development and strategic planning, successfully enabled through collaboration within the internal organization and with external partners. This position reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.


The essential duties and key responsibilities of the Sol-Lux National Sales Manager include, but are not limited to
:


  • Develop and manage dealer program that enables dealers to successfully acquire customers through education about Sol-Lux products, expertise in measure & installation process, competitive positioning, co-op marketing programs, and product sales collateral.
  • Lead business development efforts by delivering product and installation presentations and demonstrations to customers, representing the organization at tradeshows and association events, and negotiating/closing deals.
  • Develop and realize clearly defined program goals in customer acquisitions, revenue and profitability, while effectively managing spend budget.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive matrix of manufacturers, retailers, and exterior shading solutions within core target markets.
  • Work closely with product management and sales leadership to ensure the program offers compelling price points and has well established demand plans that enable operations to minimize lead times and optimize inventory.
  • Size and segment domestic North American residential exterior shading markets, including channel profiling and value chain breakdown.
  • Define product roadmap that balances near term market exploration with long term growth aspirations.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering stakeholders to ensure successful realization of product plan.

Qualifications and Requirements


The right candidate will bring a strong balance of experience, education and passion. They will also need to have proven experience in defining and implementing an early stage go to market plan, leading business development efforts to realize sales goals, and demonstrating strong analytical skills through successful demand planning and pricing exercise.


  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business administration. MBA preferred.
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a sales or business development manager.
  • Extensive knowledge of the North American residential furnishings market, shading experience is a plus.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with proven experience making rational decisions.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.


Compensation and Benefits


The salary range for this position is anticipated to be from $3,076.92 - $3,461.54 biweekly, plus commission based on achievement of key sales metrics.
