15 Hrs/Wk Guaranteed – Personal Care Aide (PCA) Job

CareGivers is looking for an outstanding, career-minded Personal Care Aide, HHA, or CNA to join our team. In this position, you would be exclusively working Chautauqua County OFA casework in a specified territory. You would be guaranteed 15 hours a week, with a potential for up to 20 hours per week.

A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are required for this position – this is not optional. You will be visiting multiple clients – 2 to 3 hours per client – and you may need to run errands or do shopping for some clients. You will be paid for travel time between clients which is included in your 15 hours/week. You will also be paid mileage in between clients, and for any errands or shopping you do for clients.

Enhanced rates offered for this position, $18.00 per hour. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, dedicated, and compassionate – these are essential traits for this position.

Position: Personal Care Aide – must be certified PCA*, HHA, or CNA
Territory: travel within the Jamestown NY area
Shifts: Guaranteed 15 hours/week, Schedule between 15-20 hours/week, weekday daytime hours (hours to be determined – but could be flexible to fit around family school schedules if need be).**

We have additional hours available if up to a 40 hour schedule is needed, but the enhanced pay rate would only be on this 15-20 hours of OFA casework.

• If you have had at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class.

**Guaranteed hours do not apply if you call off or miss your scheduled shifts

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for providing personal care and supportive services which may include (but are not limited to) assisting the client in activities of daily living, providing light housekeeping services to maintain a clean and safe environment for the client, and making sure they follow their medication schedule.

• Must be a certified PCA*, HHA, or CNA
• Will transition CNA to HHA with a free one-day class
• Qualified nursing students can work for us as HHAs – ask us how!
• If you have had at least 3 months of previous caregiving experience in the last three years, you may qualify to become a PCA through our free one-day alternative competency training class. Ask us how!
• Must be caring, dependable, & must meet health requirements
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license** required – you must be able to drive from client to client, this is not optional. (**clean – no major violations)
