What are the responsibilities and job description for the Center Administrator position at CareMax?
The Center Administrator plans, implements, and oversees the daily medical center operations ensuring compliance of company and regulatory agencies' established guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for all the supervision of the medical center staff.
· Ensures patient flow is maintained throughout all areas of the center.
· Ensures center policies and procedures are followed as per established guidelines
· Addresses patient concerns for resolution.
· Ensures referrals, MRA, dispensary, and other processes are functioning as per established guidelines.
· Contacts new patients monthly to welcome to them to the center, make a first-time appointment and provide a meet and greet of staff and physicians; provides VP of Operations with report of scheduled appointments.
· Contacts disenrolled patients monthly to determine patient dissatisfaction and provides reason for disenrollment report to VP of Operations.
· Follows HEDIS guidelines, making sure patients are scheduled for medical gaps in accordance with medical condition.
· Ensures daily cash reconciliation.
· Completes required monthly departmental reports and submits to VP of Operations as requested.
· Develops Center's yearly budget in conjunction with the VP of Operations.
· Participates in the planning and development of activities within the medical center.
· Maintains control of office and medical supplies as per established guidelines.
· Oversees maintenance and repair of medical and office equipment.
· Ensures all areas of the center are clean and organized.
· Participates and ensures resolution of issues raised by center staff.
· Conducts employee annual performance evaluations.
· Performs duties of absent employees when situation so demands.
· Responsible for monitoring center metrics.
· Ensures compliance with the external regulatory agencies.
· Works together with the marketing department in the planning and coordination of marketing events.
· Ensures productivity levels are sustained as established in guidelines.
· Responsible for the oversight of all provider’s working schedules.
· Accountable for membership growth and retention.
· Responsible for orientation, training, and counseling of employees when appropriate.
· Responsible for appropriate staffing for center.
· Responsible for the review and approval of payroll for respective employees.
· Attends regularly scheduled meetings as required.
- Other duties as needed and/or assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in health care administration, management, or related field preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role preferred.
· Can demonstrate a thorough understanding of the healthcare system to include finance, insurance, organizational policy and risk management.
· Knowledge of the business end of healthcare administration and apply knowledge in managing the various areas of operation relative to organizational performance.
· Ability to listen, write and effectively present information to upper management.
· Professional demeanor, character, and recognizes the personal needs and priorities of staff in finding creative approaches for fostering teamwork.
· Ability to encourage employees and other individuals to align their priorities with the organization's aspirations.
· Ability to understand the organizational climate and use strategies for goal orientation and facilitating necessary change.
· Demonstrated professionalism as it relates to modeling an accountable and ethical demeanor within the workforce.
· Ability to encourage lifelong learning, by procuring knowledge and information of a rapidly changing field in promoting professional development among team members.
· Required to have a command of the English and Spanish language and be proficient with grammar, spelling and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers, and staff in written and oral communication.
· Bilingual English/Spanish required
