What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Administrator position at Carenet Healthcare Services?

We are adding an HR Administrator to our team. The HR Administrator is responsible for performing HR-related duties and works closely with both management and non-management team members. The position coordinates the implementation of policies, procedures, and various programs in the People Services (Human Resources) Department. The role carries out administrative responsibilities in various functional areas which may include: HR Operations, employee relations, performance management, recruitment/employment, employment law compliance, Human Resource Management System (HRMS/HRIS), records management and compliance adherence. Must maintain confidentiality of all privileged information.


SOME OF WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Assists with terminations and offboarding of team members.
  • Oversees the Referral Bonus Program for team members.
  • Assists with invoicing and expense management for the People Services team.
  • Responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of the People Services intranet site.
  • Assists in creation of reports and recommends new approaches to effectively improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Assists with the administration of various human resource plans, policies, and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Maintains employee handbook and assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Participates in supporting departmental goals, objectives, and various system administration.
  • Process unemployment claims and assist in appeals when needed.
  • Files EEO-1, Affirmative Action, and other reports annually; maintains related records, reports and logs information as required.
  • Responds to employee relations complaints, conducts counseling and investigations, performs outplacement counseling and exit interviews; represents the company for unemployment claims administration and proceedings.
  • Assist with the coordination of special events as required by management, planning, and coordinating internal or external resources as needed, planning, prioritizing, organizing, and managing tasks / projects (including follow-up and follow through) for People Services and/or Talent Acquisition functions as needed.


SOME OF YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of experience in Human Resource Administrator or Coordinator roles.
  • Experience with Ultipro software preferred.
  • Worked in fast paced environments where confidentiality was essential to success.
  • Basic understanding of HR practices and HIPPPA.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, team members, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Word-processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, database software, and Internet software. Ability to handle multiple line phone systems, pagers and paging systems preferred.
