Now Hiring - Vice President of Assisted Living Operations - Regional to Fort Lee, New Jersey.
The Vice President of AL Operations is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Work with facility and clinical support staff to ensure the highest level of care possible, including quality clinical outcomes, zero survey deficiencies and a high level of physician satisfaction.
- Implement and monitor a strong internal quality improvement program, including weekly visits to visualize that key systems are in place and functioning. Review and follow up on weekly clinical reports and the csc’s visit reports. Monitor the quality indicators and the quality measures on a quarterly basis.
- Work with center and marketing support staff to develop marketing action plans and business development plans for each center to assure the highest level of occupancy with the best possible quality mix and maximum revenue realization.
- Review census trends on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, review and monitoring business and marketing plans.
- Assist in the development of the medical staff.
- Meet with key referral sources to monitor performance and identify business development opportunities.
- Work with center and support staff to ensure our customers are served at the highest level possible by ensuring that customer concerns are identified and addressed internally, and systems are revised based on feedback.
- Ensure that customer service systems are in place (i.e. ambassador, night owl, weekend manager, careline), by fully integrating the culture of excellence throughout the center. Review monthly the Press Ganey scores and development of action plans to address issues.
- Review of call bell scores along with weekly resident/employee interviews.
- Assist the centers in operations to keep costs down while providing quality and customer service objectives by reviewing labor/payroll reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and developing corrective action plans when necessary, reviewing payable reports on a weekly/monthly basis, checking facility spend down sheets and reviewing DSSI order trending.
- Review workers compensation cost on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis
- Monitor all ancillary costs and develop plans/systems to minimize expense.
- Work with the centers to be the employer of choice in the communities we serve. Strive for minimal open positions, low employee turnover, low overtime, high employee satisfaction and no union organizing activity.
- Work closely with HR and recruiting to hire the best employees, review salary and benefits provided to ensure competitive pay and benefits.
- Review monthly/quarterly communication meetings to assure that employee issues are identified and addressed.
- Track employee turnover and conduct exit interviews with employees to identify trends.
- Address all careline complaints in a timely fashion.
- Work with the centers to achieve the lowest DSO possible and increase cash flow.
- Audit Admission process on a weekly/monthly basis to assure that necessary billing information is being collected
- Participate in A/R reviews as frequently as determined by the DSO report.
- Review systems for private pay collection and Medicaid pending.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Certification/Licensure
Certified Assisted Living Administrator
Professional Experience
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- 3 years of supervisory experience
- Previous AL or LHNA managerial experience required
