Job Summary
This position is responsible for recruitment for CareOregon and its affiliated organizations. This role administers recruitment policies and practices to support the organization in attracting and retaining diverse talent. This position operates at an entry level and may focus on recruitment of non-exempt positions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform recruitment functions for exempt and non-exempt positions, including preparation of job announcements, advertising, candidate sourcing and screening, preliminary interviewing, referral to hiring managers, verbal offers, offer letters, and transitions for onboarding.
- Grow knowledge and skills in communicating effectively with applicants about the essential functions of the job and department, the culture of the organization, and the employment experience.
- Establish working relationships with hiring managers; meet with managers to fully understand staffing needs and plans to effectively source positions.
- Help educate managers and other staff on the hiring process, recruitment best practices, relevant laws, tools and resources for a successful recruitment.
- Participate in external relationship building, outreach efforts, and job fairs; source candidates through one or more channels.
- May assist in developing programs and relationships with educational organizations to pipeline graduates, students and interns into CareOregon opportunities.
- Provide input on recruitment policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals to attract and retain diverse talent.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement activities and ensure the efficient functioning of the applicant tracking system.
- Learn and help ensure organizational compliance with laws, regulations, and statutes pertaining to recruitment and hiring; ensure complete and accurate documentation for filing.
- May assist with OFCCP recruitment compliance, maintaining accurate and detailed records of activities related to recruiting and ensuring ATS remains in compliance.
- Collaborate with Compensation and Benefits teams on starting pay and benefits packages; ensure understanding and communication of the organization’s total rewards package.
- Serve as a resource for Recruitment staff.
- Participate on special projects.
