Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing administration and leadership skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulations
- Coordinate patient care plans and ensure proper documentation
- Oversee the nursing budget and resource allocation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Active LPN license
- Proven experience in nursing leadership roles, preferably in nursing home, home health, or hospice care settings
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage shifts effectively and prioritize tasks
- Familiarity with shift management and scheduling processes
