EDUCATION:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Healthcare, or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in healthcare industry
- Advanced modeling skills such as SQL
- Experience developing and implementing business strategy in a disruptive business environment
- Extensive financial modeling experience – build models from scratch, improve existing models, and break complex models down into its key drivers
- 2 to 4 years work experience in investment banking, equity research, strategy consulting or similar role in industry
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset, with an interest in the healthcare industry (experience in healthcare not required)
- Excellent problem-solving capability, as well as strong interpersonal, leadership and team-building ability
- Devotion to accuracy, detail, analytic consistency, and data integrity
- Self-starter, with the ability to take initiative, set and drive toward goals -while managing priorities across multiple projects/deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and oral), with an ability to break down complex information into its key elements
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work with people of different backgrounds, including clinical and IT staff
- Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
MAIN FUNCTIONS:
- Manager, Strategic Initiatives will work with the strategy and the corporate finance teams, which are responsible for strategic planning, business case development, and new initiative leadership.
- Will partner with and engage staff throughout the organization, to complete market analyses, develop business cases, identify key performance metrics, and assume direct accountability for strategy execution.
- Will work directly with senior management, including the System CFO, Chief Strategy Officer, and CEO, to validate and craft enterprise-wide initiatives, including strategic market assessments, returns analysis, profitability studies, and break-even analyses. This person will be able to develop and monitor thoughtful business intelligence, analytical frameworks, and ongoing reporting to evaluate the performance of business and growth strategies.
- Research and prepare background information and other data needed to properly communicate projects; coordinate development; update agendas and ensure that all final materials needed for discussions are prepped and ready to go.
- Provide oversight and direction for all project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting activities.
- Continually track updates on all functional project areas.
- Ensure that project management systems are consistently used effectively across all CarePoint Health Locations.
- Provide decision support by developing recommendations for approval that will better the overall initiative.
- Lead and manage ongoing assessments for all departmental projects and initiatives
- Help build, support, and contribute to new programs that further develop ongoing projects.
- Manage cross-functional teams to implement revenue-generating network initiatives.
- Identify and drive opportunity for cost savings.
- Present regular updates on key strategic initiatives.
- Effectively manage multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously
