Job Summary:
The Nurse Assistant in Training (NAT) will provide key support for our clinical staff while completing an educational program designed to prepare for the CNA clinical exam. The NAT will be partnered with a local school to attend classes while working. We will assist the NAT in enrolling for class and with paying the tuition. The primary purpose of your position as a full-time staff member is to acquire the knowledge, skills, and certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by participation in the facility’s planned educational program consisting of classroom instructions, clinical practice, and on-the-job, supervised training.
Essential Functions:
- Assist our residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to: grooming, patient safety, and hydration
- Bed making, room cleanliness, hall cleanliness
- Promote the highest level of customer experience at all times when interacting with family members, visitors, and co-workers
- Able to interact with family and resident’s professionally and courteously, promoting satisfaction and good communication
- Able to assist at mealtimes and during activities.
Qualifications/Experience:
- 1 year experience in healthcare environment (Preferred)
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Compliant with the state’s Health Care Worker Background Check requirements with respect to criminal history
- Enrollment or future enrollment in C.N.A. school (required)
