Position Purpose
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the material flow and storage in the Packaging/Ingredient Warehouse. This includes the physical of all goods (P&I, supplies, etc.), cycle counts, and distribution of material to appropriate departments. The position is also responsible for coordinating team efforts to support operations and the success of the P&I Team. Receiving in goods, validation of approved suppliers delivering goods, correct ingredients/packaging delivered, and cleanliness of the items received is a critical function. The Warehouse Associate ensures accurate inventories are being maintained through weekly cycle counts, proper staging, and good issues to the necessary cost centers. The Warehouse Associate works with the Material Planning Supervisor and others on the Purchasing team to address appropriate inventory levels of packaging, ingredient, stocked parts, make disposition decisions, and help determine min/max levels. The warehouse associate will be accountable for staging items for production used on the next business day. This position requires proactive attention to detail, environmental safety, plant safety, and ergonomics.
Principle Accountabilities
- Receive materials, organize warehouse, support ops/maintenance needs.
- Cycle count the warehouse and review necessary adjustments system-to-physical-count.
- Staging materials for next business day.
- Work with Purchasing team to review current stock vs obsolete stock to ensure a consistently relevant and useful shelf stock.
- General, food-safe, and plant-safe housekeeping of Parts Room/P&I Warehosue
- Perform miscellaneous
Required Qualifications
- High School degree
- Warehouse experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High sense of priority and process-honoring criticality
- Awareness and attention to detail surrounding environmental/plant/food safety and ergonomics
- Strong organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong PC skills (especially within the Microsoft Office suite).
- Relative parts knowledge/maintenance experience
- Experience with replenishment model/JIT inventory stock
- Forklift experience
