What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Clerk position at Cargill?
The Receiving Clerk works in the shipping, distribution or receiving department and is responsible for accepting, inspecting, monitoring, tracking, and transferring shipments or deliveries for the manufacturing or warehouse facility. This position will be responsible to track all incoming, outgoing shipments, contractors, and site visitors. In this role you, you will complete administrative tasks to ensure that product movement is accurate and efficient including data entry into various systems,(SAP, RCI, Production Tracking) This position will also support security rounds for the facility with some potential weekend coverages as needed.

Principal Accountabilities:
Verify that in-coming or outgoing product shipments are as ordered, and proper documentation is provided for entry/exit of the site
Data Entry of plant production, utility data and filing of needed documentations
Assist management personnel in the planning of resources needed to meet work requirements
Verify all shipments, visitors, contractor’s appointments and needs on site prior to allowing access
Collaborate closely with operations and logistics to ensure shipments or deliveries are completed as scheduled
Safely operate mobile equipment per company policy
Conduct Safety rounds, documenting deviations to conditions
Handle basic clerical, administrative, technical or plant support issues under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
Operate computer based plant equipment-Utilities based
Other duties as assigned
Required qualifications:
Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
High School diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills
Experience with email, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation application
Preferred qualifications:
Forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in distribution, inventory, receiving or shipping environments
Experience with warehouse management system (SAP)
